Robert Ruszkowski joined Verit Advisors LLC in early 2011 and brings significant professional experience and technical expertise to the team. With more than four years of experience in investment banking, Mr. Ruszkowski has particular proficiency in sell-side M&A transactions involving a diverse set of middle market companies. Mr. Ruszkowski also possesses substantial technical and analytical know-how following a distinguished career in chemical process engineering.

Mr. Ruszkowski began his investment banking career at Chicago-based boutique firm Blaige & Company, the market leader in middle market M&A services for the plastics, packaging, and chemicals industry verticals. Mr. Ruszkowski completed more than $200 million of acquisitions, divestitures, and mergers involving a wide variety of corporate entities including private equity firms, publicly traded corporations, and privately held enterprises. Specifically, Mr. Ruszkowski has experience throughout the entire sell-side process including the composition of compelling confidential information memoranda, management coaching for polished presentations to prospective buyers, detailed analyses of offers and letters of intent, negotiation of various legal document including purchase agreements and confidentiality agreements, and modeling of complex transaction scenarios. Additionally, Mr. Ruszkowski has completed multiple buy-side assignments for private and private equity-held companies. Mr. Ruszkowski led the execution effort for several of the 14 completed M&A transactions while at Blaige & Company.

Prior to his experience at Verit Advisors and Blaige & Company, Mr. Ruszkowski was a chemical engineer at ESOP-owned S&C Electric Company in Chicago. Mr. Ruszkowski was responsible for a wide range of duties in this role, particularly capital project justification and implementation, modeling of complex system variables for troubleshooting and process optimization projects, and statistical analyses of perpetual product performance studies. Mr. Ruszkowski’s engineering and technical background has been instrumental in the development and success of his investment banking activities.

Mr. Ruszkowski earned a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, with honors, and his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a double-major in Psychology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.
