Mr. Hawkins joined Verit Advisors LLC in 2011 and brings significant professional experience and ESOP expertise to the team. Mr. Hawkins began his career at LaSalle Bank, NA (now Bank of America Merrill Lynch) where he worked to help syndicate debt financing for complex middle market transactions. His responsibilities included drafting company information memorandums, financial modeling, management presentations and execution of the financing.

Mr. Hawkins gained deeper investment banking experience at LaSalle Corporate Finance (now Bank of America Merrill Lynch) while advising middle market companies on various corporate finance solutions including leveraged buyouts, mergers, acquisitions, recapitalization and ESOPs. During this time, Mr. Hawkins worked across a range of industry groups executing on various sell-side transactions.

After his time at LaSalle Corporate Finance, Mr. Hawkins was the national ESOP Consultant and Vice President in Bank of America's ESOP Solutions Group. In this role, Mr. Hawkins advised business owners and management teams on implementing ESOPs as a transition alternative. In addition to helping structure new ESOPs, Mr. Hawkins was responsible for working with existing ESOP companies to provide strategic advice on capital structures and financing alternatives. During his tenure, he helped structure and execute over $360 million in senior credit financings.

Mr. Hawkins received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Northern Illinois University where he was an Evans Scholar. Mr. Hawkins currently sits on the Finance Committee for the ESOP Association. Mr. Hawkins is a member of FINRA and currently holds his Series 7 and 63.
