gif creatorBrooks Myhran has more than 25 years of investment banking and valuation experience executing mergers and  acquisitions, going-private transactions, and recapitalizations, as well as extensive valuation experience providing a wide range of sophisticated financial services, inlcuding all manner of fairness opinions, solvency opinions, and ESOP and non-ESOP appraisals, and litigation support to both privately owned and publicly traded companies, including organizations in financial distress and/or bankruptcy. Previously Myhran founded Orsus Advisory Services, LLC. Prior to that Myhran was a managing director of Lazard Middle Market (formerly Goldsmith Agio Helms where he had been a shareholder prior to the sale of the firm) for 17 years. In addition, he was an officer and shareholder at Duff & Phelps.

Mr. Myhran joined Verit Advisors in 2012 and opened the firm's first office outside of Chicago, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He leads the firm's Valuation Services practices well as Verit's M&A initiative and its marketing to private equity firms. Mr. Myhran serves on the advisory board of Brass Ring Capital, Inc., a Minneapolis-based private equity sponsor, and the board of advisors of Pierrepont Hicks, LLC, a mens and womens clothing and accessories business, also based in Minneapolis. Mr. Myhran has published several articles on mergers and acquisitions and valuation-related topics in national and regional financial and trade journals, and has spoken frequently on these topics.

Mr.Myhran has broad industry experience with particular expertise in the consumer products, education, ethanol, financial services, household products, plastics, specialty retail, transportation and travel services industries.

Mr. Myhran holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Stanford University. Myhran is also a chartered financial analyst (CFA).
